The SUMMER PAID-INTERNSHIP PROGRAM is a structured and supervised work experience opportunity designed for high school Juniors and Seniors or those that are 16 years old at time of interview. The program provides candidates, commonly known as interns, with hands-on experience in a specific field or industry. Not only does the program offer opportunity for paid hands-on experience with a local business, but it also offers academic credit depending on the organization and institution of higher education.

  • COLLIN COUNTY RESIDENT
  • HS JUNIOR, SENIOR OR RECENT GRADUATE (must be 16 years old)
  • RECOMMENDED BY AN EDUCATOR, COMMUNITY LEADERS, ETC.

CAREER SKILLS READINESS | WORKFORCE / APPRENTICESHIP PLACEMENT

8- WEEK COHORT ENROLLMENT PERIOD

CAREER SKILLS READINESS: A pre-requisite enrollment of the 8-Week Career Skills Training Cohort and aides in the preparation of placement, depending on the candidate qualifications, occupation and industry. 
WORKFORCE APPRENTICESHIP: a formal training model that combines paid on-the-job learning with classroom instruction, designed to prepare individuals for skilled trades and professional careers.
